Environment Preservation Activity toward SDGs Beach Cleaning at Kariyushi Beach 7th COMM Battalion, Kariyushi Hotels, and Onna Village

On the morning of October 7, US marine Corps 7th COMM Battalion organized a beach clean-up in the Kariyushi Beach in. The volunteers, which totaled approximately 60 people, marked the beginning of the autumn season by cleaning up the beach. Volunteers from 7th COMM Battalion, Kariyushi Hotels, and US Marine Corps Camp Hansen Community relations picked up garbage from the beach area, and then separated burnable trash from items to be recycled. This is the first such joint endeavor by US Marine Corps 7th Communication Battalion, Marine Corps Community Relation, Kariyushi Hotels and Onna Village. The groups joined forces with the goal of raising collective awareness about environmental stewardship. We look forward to cooperating on similar community engagement events in the future.
